58-year-old man dies after collision near Uxbridge

A 58-year-old driver was pronounced deceased after a two-vehicle collision near Uxbridge on Friday (Nov. 5).

Shortly after 8 a.m. Friday, Durham Regional Police responded to a collision on Regional Road 47 at Uxbridge Concession Road 2.

“The collision involved an eastbound white Dodge Journey that collided with a westbound black Volkswagen Rabbit,” reads a release from police.

“The 58-year-old male driver of the Volkswagen was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the eastbound Dodge was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”

Roads in the area were closed for several hours while police collected evidence.
