A suspicious death in Oshawa Tuesday (Nov. 2) has officially been deemed a homicide.
According to the DRPS, 67-year-old Ruth Humphries was found dead in her home of Phillip Murray Avenue. Her body was discovered by her grandson, who police described as a young child.
“The post mortem examination revealed significant trauma to the victim’s body that was not consistent with accidental or self-inflicted injuries,” reads a media release from police.
Investigators are expected to be at the crime scene through the week collecting evidence, police noted.
