Lindsay resident charged in relation to shooting in Bobcaygeon

A Lindsay man is facing numerous charges related to a shooting in Bobcaygeon back in June.

According to the OPP, 25-year-old Dakota Fredericks was arrested by officers in Elliot Lake shortly after 10 p.m. on Oct. 22.

“The arrest arose from an investigation into a shooting that took place in Bobcaygeon on June 12,” a media release reads.

The charges include two counts of discharge firearm with intent, two counts of pointing a firearm, possession of firearm contrary to prohibition order, use firearm while committing an offence, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm and knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm.

Fredericks remains in custody, police noted.
