Janetville resident among those charged after firearms seized in Oshawa

Two shotguns, a handgun and a rifle were seized along with a quantity of drugs after police searched an Oshawa residence.

On Friday (Oct. 15), the DRPS Gun and Gang Unit concluded a firearms and drugs investigation. A search warrant was executed at a residence on Centre Street South in Oshawa.

Police say four firearms were seized, including a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun, a loaded sawed off 12-gauge shotgun, a 12-gauge shotgun, and a rifle, as well as numerous rounds of ammunition.

“The firearms were not lawfully owned and were not stored safely,” reads the release from DRPS.

“Drugs including fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, MDMA pills and percocet pills, with a total street value of more than $75,000 was also seized along with $7,500 in Canadian currency,” continues the statement from police.

Christopher Allan, 42, of no fixed address; George Yeo, 32, of Way Street in Whitby; Jennifer Pyne, 26, of McGill Drive in Janetville; Judith Pomeroy, 57, of Centre Street South in Oshawa; and Jason Warren, 46, of Glen Street in Oshawa, were charged with various offences. Police did not specify specific charges laid.
