
A Lindsay man has been charged after police were called about an unwanted person.
According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, officers were called to an Angeline Street South address shortly before 10 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 12).
“Prior to police arrival the individual, who was believed to be impaired had departed. He was witnessed getting into a vehicle and began driving away,” reads a media release.
“Officers arrived, and after conducting an investigation the driver was arrested.”
James Mitchell, 54, of Lindsay has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, operation while prohibited – legal restriction and possession of a controlled substance as well as one contravention of the Highway Traffic Act.
He is scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on Nov. 18.
