Two charged with first degree murder following stabbing in Georgina

Two people have been charged with first degree murder following a stabbing death in Georgina over the weekend.

According to the York Regional Police, officers received a call to attend the area of Crydermans Side Road and Highway 48 for a report of a stabbing shortly before 9 p.m. on Friday (Sept. 10).

“When officers arrived, they located an adult male suffering from stab wound injuries,” reads a media release.

The victim was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified as 51-year-old Steve Kloosterman of Georgina.

“The two suspects were arrested at the time of the incident and have been charged with first degree murder. There are no other suspects being sought,” the media release reads.

William Cox, 67, of Georgina and Casandra Campbell, 34, of Georgina have each been charged with first degree murder.
