One person is dead and another has been airlifted following a collision on Lake Ridge Road in Whitby Monday (Sept. 13) afternoon.
According to social media posts from the DRPS, the two-vehicle collision occured between Winchester Road and Columbus Road West.
The male driver of one vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while a female passenger has been airlifted.
The driver of the second vehicle has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
The road is closed in both directions for the police investigation. Motorists should avoid the area.
