Kawartha Lakes Police were on scene at a Mount Hope Street address on Thursday (Aug. 26). According to police, officers had received information that two licence holders were reportedly growing plants beyond the legal limit of their Cannabis for Medical Purpose – Personal Use license.

“At the time police became involved the registered licenses had expired and the holders had been evicted from the location,” reads a release from police.

“The total allowed number of plants under the licenses was 780 plants. Officers with the assistance of City crews and equipment removed approximately 10,000 plants from the location.”

No charges have been laid, according to police.
