Ramara man charged after allegedly refusing to provide breath sample

A Ramara man has been charged after allegedly refusing to provide a breath sample during an impaired driving investigation in Orillia.

According to the OPP, officers responded to a call for a possible impaired driver on Highway 12 around 8 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 23).

“Officers located the vehicle and an impaired driving investigation was subsequently initiated and the driver was arrested,” reads a media release.

John Sangster, 59, has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and failure or refusal to comply with demand.

He is scheduled to appear in Orillia court on Oct. 5.
