A 14-year-old suffered serious injuries after crashing a dirt bike in Kawartha Lakes Friday (Aug. 20) evening.

According to the OPP, officers were called to the single-vehicle collision on Crane Bay Road around 7:15 p.m.

“A youth was observed colliding with trees in a ditch on a dirt bike,” reads a media release.

The youth, who was wearing a helmet at the time, was transported by paramedics to a Toronto-area hospital with serious injuries.
