Man pronounced dead at scene of Uxbridge accident

A York Region man has died following a collision in Uxbridge Wednesday (Aug. 4) morning.

According to the DRPS, the collision occured on Sandford Road, west of Concession 3, around 10:20 a.m.

“A 31-year-old male from York Region was driving a silver Subaru eastbound on Sandford Road when it collided with a westbound dump truck being operated by a 46-year-old male from York Region,” reads a media release.

“The driver of the Subaru sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the dump truck was uninjured.”

The road was closed for several hours for the police investigation, which is ongoing.
