
A 17-year-old male is facing a number of charges and a second suspect is being sought following an assault involving weapons in Beaverton over the weekend.
According to the DRPS, the incident occured Saturday (July 24) night on Moorlands Drive but wasn’t reported to police until two days later.
“At approximately 11 p.m., several males attended this location for a consensual fight when two of the parties produced weapons,” reads a media release.
“One victim received serious injuries as a result of being slashed with a knife and struck with a metal pole.”
Police say a video emerged of the attack and officers were able to identify the suspects who were armed with weapons.
A 17-year old male from Brock Township has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault; two counts of assault with a weapon; three counts of uttering threats and two counts of possession of weapons dangerous to the public peace.
He was held for a bail hearing.
Police continue to search for the second suspect.
