A Seagrave resident is celebrating after winning $100,000 in a lottery draw earlier this year.

James Nice matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the LOTTO 6/49 draw back on Jan. 20 to claim the prize.

Nice, a 63-year-old retiree, said he is a regular player.

“When I checked my ticket at the store and saw $100,000 – I thought oh wow!” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.

“I was dumbfounded.”

The avid reader and dog lover plans save his winnings and celebrate with his dad over a nice dinner.
