
A motorist is facing charges after a vehicle was allegedly clocked driving nearly 70 kilometres over the posted speed limit in Uxbridge.
According to the DRPS, an officer stopped the vehicle around 11:15 a.m. last Wednesday (July 21) in the area of Coppins Corners travelling 128 km/h in a 60-km/h zone.
“The driver was driving in a careless manner,” reads a social media post from police.
A 55-year-old woman – whose name has not been released – has been charged with stunt driving, speeding, careless driving and driving under suspension.
The vehicle was impounded for 14 days, police noted.
