Police and residents teamed up to rescue a man stranded on Lake Scugog Thursday (July 22) evening.

According to the DRPS, a man called in to report he was on a Seadoo that was sinking around 6:40 p.m.

Uniformed officers and the police helicopter were both dispatched to locate the man.

“The man was rescued with the assistance of residents using civilian watercraft. There were no injuries,” a social media post from the DRPS reads.

“DRPS would like to thank those involved in bringing the male safely to shore.”
