One charged at RIDE program near Woodville

A Kawartha Lakes motorist is facing an impaired driving charge after police conducted a RIDE program in the Woodville area over the weekend.

According to the OPP, officers were conducting spotchecks on Hartley Road around 11:30 p.m. Friday (July 16) when a driver was stopped and an impaired driving investigation commenced.

Curtis Popp, 34, has been charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concertation (80 plus).

They are scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on Aug. 5.

“The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for seven days and the driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days,” a media release reads.
