Recent inappropriate activities in Beaverton  have certainly garnered the attention of many.

Concerns regarding potential illegal activities, property trespass issues, disorder in public spaces, are all part of what has been very concerning to Council and the residents of Brock.

Beaverton Area Council Members will be meeting with Durham Regional Police Services (DRPS) representatives to discuss Council and resident concerns.

In addition, Mayor Grant, Regional Councillor Smith and Brock CAO Ingrid Svelnis, will be meeting with Durham Regional Chair John Henry, Durham Regional CAO Elaine Baxter-Trahair, Regional Commissioner of Social Services and DRPS Senior Inspector North Division on the same matter.

The Township recognizes the concerns that residents have, and acknowledges the complexities at hand  with the understanding that enforcement is just a part of the discussion/solution.
