One person suffered injuries after a house collapsed near Manilla during the severe storm on Thursday (July 15).

According ot the OPP, officers were called to the home on Royal Oak Road shortly after 4 p.m. following reports that two people were trapped.

“A number of downed trees made the road unpassable to emergency vehicles. Officers proceeded on foot to check on the trapped individuals, while fire and EMS cleared the roadway of debris to allow access to the scene,” reads a media release.

One person was treated by paramedics at the scene and transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police noted that a portion of Royal Oak Road remains closed due to fallen trees.
