A house fire in Cannington Monday (July 5) afternoon caused roughly $200,000 worth of damage.
According to Brock Township Fire Chief Rick Harrison, the blaze broke out at the home on Hillside Crescent around 3:30 p.m.
More than two dozen firefighters from the three township halls — as well as an aerial unit from Ramara — were called into extinguish the fire.
“All occupants vacated the house with no injuries,” Chief Harrison said.
A social media post from a neighbour noted that two pets also escaped the home unharmed.
A cause has not yet been determined.
