Heading into the weekend, a pair of beaches in Brock Township have been posted by the Durham Region Health Department.

The list includes Beaverton north beach and Thorah Centennial Park, as well as Bowmanville Beach East and Lakeview Beach West in Oshawa.

Beaches are posted as unsafe for swimming when elevated levels of E. coli exceed the provincial standard of 200 E. coli per 100 ml of water.
