The Township of Brock is considering the development of a bylaw to license and regulate short term rentals (STR’s). STR’s are usually advertised through social media channels as well as Air B n B and other websites. An STR is generally defined as all or part of a dwelling unit which is used to provide sleeping accommodations for a specified period of time in exchange for payment. As part of our consultations, we encourage all persons having an interest in this matter to complete the survey.

Please note that the Township of Brock is not proposing to license owner-occupied bed and breakfast establishments. A bed and breakfast establishment is defined as a single-detached dwelling containing not more than four guest rooms for overnight accommodation in which the owner supplies breakfast for monetary compensation.
