
A Sunderland resident is facing charges following a traffic stop by police in Kawartha Lakes.
According to the OPP, officers received information related to a potentially impaired driver on Saturday (June 12).
“The vehicle was located on Highway 7 near Taylor’s Road and subsequently stopped,” reads a media release.
The driver — a 52-year-old from Sunderland whose name has not been released — was subsequently charged with careless driving, driving while under suspension and failure to surrender insurance card.
They are scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on Aug. 17.
