A pair of Cannington youngsters has raised nearly ‘fore’ hundred dollars for The Nourish and Develop Foundation.
Eight-year-old Coraline and six-year-old Madelynn have sold roughly 1,200 used golf balls in recent weeks and decided to donate half in support of a local charity.
The pair have sponsored 19 spots in TNDF’s Good Food Box program that provides local families with fresh, local ingredients for healthier meals.
“They decided to go with the Good Food Box program from The Nourish and Develop Foundation after discovering that the foundation sponsored boxes for families in need,” said their mom, Stephanie.
“We order the Good Food box ourselves and love the quality and assortment of fresh, local vegetables and fruit.”
The girls’ grandfather helped get their sales efforts off the ground by providing their first batch of used golf balls.
While their sale – and fundraising efforts – will continue through the summer, it’s been so successful that they’re currently out of stock.
