Two people are facing charges after an alleged robbery in Port Perry Saturday (May 29) afternoon.
According to the DRPS, officers were called to the area of Scugog Street and Highway 7A around 4:45 p.m.
“Officers located the victim who had injures after being kicked several times before the suspects stole items and fled on foot,” reads a media release.
“Officers located the first suspect and engaged in a foot pursuit before taking him into custody. The second suspect was located by officers and arrested a short time later.”
Marek Ruchlewicz, 23 of Uxbridge has been charged with robbery; possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and possession if a Schedule I substance (cocaine).
Dalton Wilson, 21, of Port Perry has been charged with robbery and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
They were both held for a bail hearing.
