The health department has corrected reporting inaccuracies that dramatically skewed the COVID-19 vaccination totals for North Durham.

A disclaimer on the Durham Region Health Department’s data tracker noted that some residents from Brock and Uxbridge may have been assigned to Scugog due to inaccuracies in assigning rural postal codes.

At one point this week, Scugog lead municipalities in terms of vaccination rate at slightly more than 80 percent while Uxbridge came in at 61 percent. The numbers for Brock were the lowest in the region and at less than 40 percent.

When the data was updated, Uxbridge moved to 71 percent, followed by Scugog (64.2 percent) and Brock (64.1 percent).
