Sixty percent of Durham adults have received COVID-19 vaccine

Sixty percent of adults in Durham Region have received the COVID-19 vaccine.

According to the update Monday (May 24), 60.1 percent of all Durham residents aged 18 and older have received at least one dose of the vaccine. Only 4.3 percent of residents have been fully vaccinated.

While Scugog leads municipalities in terms of vaccination rate – at slightly more than 80 percent – that total may be skewed by acknowledged reporting inaccuracies.

A disclaimer on the Durham Region Health Department’s data tracker notes that some residents from Brock and Uxbridge may have been assigned to Scugog due to inaccuracies in assigning rural postal codes.

Brock currently has the lowest vaccination rate in the region at 39.4 percent.
