
A family dispute in Lindsay led to charges Tuesday (May 18).
According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, officers were called to the area of Sussex Street around 10:45 a.m.
“An argument in the residence, escalated to violence causing police to be called. Prior to police arrival the suspect fled on foot and after a brief chase was arrested,” reads a media release.
“An investigation revealed that the accused had assaulted and threatened the victim.”
The 19-year-old suspect has been charged with assault, uttering threats and mischief under $5,000.
They are scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on June 24.
