A delivery driver has been charged after the alleged sexual assault of a teenager in Ajax.

According to the DRPS, officers were called to a residence in the area of Magill Drive and Sullivan Drive just before 2 p.m. Monday (May 17).

“The 17-year-old victim was in front of her residence when she was approached by the suspect who sexually assaulted her. The suspect left the area in a white van,” reads a media release from police.

“The suspect was located in the area and arrested by officers. The DRPS Special Victims Unit assisted in the investigation.”

Gustavo Olmedo-Hernandez, 34, of Scarborough has been charged with sexual assault and forcible confinement. He was held for a bail hearing.
