A motorist has facing charges after police in Kawartha Lakes received a traffic complaint.

According to the OPP, officers responded to a traffic complaint related to a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner around 8 p.m. on Thursday (May 13).

“The officer located and subsequently stopped the vehicle on Kawartha Lakes Road 48, near Maritime Road. The ensuing investigation led to the arrest of the driver,” reads a media release.

Sarah Duarte, 41, has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.

They are scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on May 27.
