A traffic complaint has led to charges for a Lindsay man.
According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, officers attended the area of Simpson Road and Barron Boulevard in Lindsay for the report of a vehicle driving erratically shortly before 7 p.m. Sunday (May 9).
“The vehicle was located and while speaking with the driver, the officer detected a strong odour of an alcoholic beverage coming from the driver’s breath,” reads a media release.
“The driver refused to conduct a roadside breath test and during the investigation caused damage to police property.”
David Bell, 39, has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, failure or refusal to comply with demand and mischief under $5,000.
He is scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on June 17.
