
More than 20,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Durham since the pandemic emerged in March of 2020.
As of April 26, 20,001 cases have been reported – 5,781 in Ajax, 4,292 in Pickering, 4,149 in Oshawa, 3,324 in Whitby, 1,632 in Clarington, 384 in Uxbridge, 316 in Scugog, 119 in Brock Township and four under investigation.
A total of 2,446 remain active with 2,363 residents in home isolation and 83 currently hospitalized (34 in intensive care).
A total of 336 deaths have been reported, including 217 at long term care and retirement homes.
