
A Ramara Township man is facing impaired driving charges after an investigation by police in Kawartha Lakes.
According to the OPP, an officer received information related to a disabled vehicle on Kawartha Lakes Road 46 around 10 p.m. on Thursday (April 22).
“Upon arrival on the scene, the officer determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol,” reads a media release.
“The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the driver.”
Edwin McIlveen, 41, of Ramara Township, has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
He is scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on May 13.
