More lockdown measures may be coming

With COVID-19 cases continuing to rise across Ontario, the provincial government is reportedly considering the implementation of stricter lockdown measures.

Premier Doug Ford is expected to make an announcement at 2:30 p.m. Friday (April 16) with members of his cabinet and Dr. David Williams, Chief Medical Officer of Health.

According to a CBC report, revised modelling suggests Ontario could see up to 18,000 daily cases of COVID-19 by the end of May if current trends continue unabated, even with help from the province’s ongoing vaccination campaign.
