A man is facing two assault charges following an alleged altercation.

According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, officers were called to an address on Albert Street around 5 p.m. on Thursday (April 15) following a report about an unwanted person.

“The complainant arrived at the residence to take occupancy and found prior occupant still at the residence, resulting in an altercation,” reads a media release.

Kyle Micallef, 34, of Lindsay has been charged with two counts of assault.

He is scheduled to appear in court on May 27.
