A Brock Township woman has been charged with impaired operation following a single-vehicle collision in Beaverton Tuesday (April 13) evening.
The collision occured around 6:15 p.m. on Mara Road near the intersection of Victoria Avenue.
According to the DRPS, the vehicle struck two hydro poles — knocking out power for a portion of the village — before rolling and landing against a residence.
The driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
“She’s lucky to be alive,” said one resident, who helped remove the 35-year-old driver and a small dog from the vehicle following the collision.
Power was eventually restored early Wednesday afternoon.
The woman’s name has not yet been released by police.
