Re: Another CAO shakeup at Brock Township.

I guess this is what happens when mediocre decision-makers on council operate in disregard of professional advice and recommendations.

Instead of steering the ship to avoid disaster, council simply gets rid of bad news, relying on instinctive gut-feelings to determine policy. However, they are doing it on our dime, costing hundreds of thousands of dollars.

How much has been spent over the past decade? A half million or more?

One must consider that the process council is using to hire staff is seriously flawed. However, I don’t think that this is the case. My belief is that the senior staff hires were very competent but council does not have the fortitude to face and effectively address the serious problems threatening Brock Township.

Hopefully, the next election will result in better, more effective leadership. What we need is for professionals, living in Brock — such as proven career business, financial, and human resource leaders — to step up to the plate and get the Township on track.
