Seven new COVID-19 cases bring Brock’s active count to 24

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Brock Township continues to climb as seven additional cases were recorded on April 10.

According to Durham Region’s COVID-19 Data Tracker, the seven cases added on April 10 bring the total number of active cases to 24. Of those, 17 are noted to be variants of concern.

One person is being treated in hospital while 23 are in home isolation, as per the most recent information available.

This marks the fifth straight day of new cases being reported in the township. In that time, a total of 20 cases have been added, representing nearly 22 per cent of the 91 reported COVID-19 cases in Brock since the pandemic began.

Of all cases recorded in the township by the Durham Region Health Department, 67 have been resolved.
