A Lindsay woman is facing charges after allegedly waving a knife at a group of students.
According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, officers responded to a confrontation involving a couple and a group of high school students in the area of Adelaide Street North around 2:30 p.m. Thursday (March 25).
“A couple was walking in the area of the school when, they were yelled at by students passing by in their vehicles. The students met with additional students now out of their vehicles in a parking lot and become involved in a verbal disagreement with the couple,” reads a media release.
Police say the students returned to their vehicles and everyone involved left the area.
“The group of students relocated to another parking lot, while standing outside their vehicles they were approached by the female half of the couple involved in the dispute,” the media release reads.
“She had a knife in her hand and was yelling as she charged towards them. She continued to charge at the students, who were able to get into a vehicle and drove away as she waved the knife at them.”
Brooke Quinn, 26, has been charged with assault with a weapon and possession of weapons for a dangerous purpose.
She is scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on May 26.
