Driver facing impaired driving charges following traffic complaint

A traffic complaint regarding an erratic driver has resulted in charges for a Kawartha Lakes motorist.

According to the OPP, officers responded to a traffic complaint with information indicating that a vehicle had failed to stop at a stop sign on Wednesday (March 24).

“The vehicle was located on Elm Tree Road near Cambray Road and was subsequently stopped,” reads a media release.

Sheree Ward, 62, has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) and driving motor vehicle with unsealed container of liquor.

She is scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on April 29.
