Police investigating reported shooting, carjacking in Georgina

Police are investigating after a 21-year-old man was reportedly shot in Georgina.

On Monday (March 23), shortly after 8 p.m., York Regional Police responded to the area of Ravenshoe Road and Woodbine Avenue for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, police say they found a male victim suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot injuries. 

Police say three suspects were seen leaving the scene. According to officers, the suspects allegedly attended a nearby gas station and stole a vehicle at gun point. 

The three suspects were described as male, Black, with medium builds, all wearing hoods and surgical masks. The stolen vehicle is a grey Toyota SUV that has not yet been recovered, according to police.

Investigators are asking any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police or anyone who may have been driving in the area at the time that may have dashcam to please come forward.
