COVID-19 vaccination clinics start in North Durham at the end of the month

COVID-19 vaccination clinics will be firing up in North Durham at the end of the month.

According to a media release from the Durham Region Health Department, the clinics will run at the Uxbridge Arena (as of March 29), the Scugog Arena (March 31) and the Rick MacLeish Memorial Community Centre in Cannington (April 3).

“These clinics will operate on a rotating basis; every week there will be one clinic scheduled for Brock and two clinics each scheduled for Uxbridge and Scugog,” the media release reads.

All clinics will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Residents 75 years and older or who will be turning 75 this year can begin booking appointments starting at 11 a.m. on Monday (March 22).

To book an appointment online, visit www.durham.ca/vaccineappointment. Residents who need assistance to book an appointment can call 1-888-444-5113.

“The health department is still currently experiencing a shortage of vaccine. The ongoing operation of clinics is dependent on vaccine supply which is received from the Province,” the media release reads.
