
Two new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Brock Township this week, bringing the total to 61 since the pandemic emerged roughly a year ago.
The two cases are the only active cases in the municipality currently and the residents involved are both in home isolation, according to the Durham Region Health Department.
Overall, there have been 12,640 confirmed cases in Durham – 3,658 in Ajax, 2,806 in Pickering, 2,554 in Oshawa, 2,156 in Whitby, 949 in Clarington, 255 in Uxbridge, 201 in Scugog and the 61 in Brock Township.
A total of 309 residents are in home isolation, with 25 currently hospitalized.
A total of 303 deaths – including 217 at long-term care and retirement homes – have been attributed to COVID-19.
A total of 12,003 cases have been resolved, which represents 95 per cent of the total.
