A woman was airlifted following a single-vehicle collision on Highway 12 near Brechin Wednesday (March 17) afternoon.

According to the OPP, officers were called to collision, which occured between Concession Road 2 and Concession Road 3, around 3:30 p.m.

The lone occupant of a vehicle was treated at the scene and transported to a Toronto hospital by an Ornge air ambulance with possible life altering injuries.

“The driver is now listed in stable condition,” reads a media release.

The highway was closed for several hours for the police investigation.
