Open letter to MPP Laurie Scott:

I am hoping you may be able to explain why residents aged 80 and older in Brock Township have been told that the COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Cannington arena has been postponed.

They claim supply is the issue but if you can find a way to get to Pickering you might be able to get the vaccination. This is really a failure of the Region of Durham and the Province to protect the very vulnerable population.

I am hopeful you will investigate this and take action to correct this very sad outcome.

This is particularly frustrating when people apparently can go to other health region areas and get vaccinated. And the Durham Region website says it is unable to respond to numerous emails.

I look forward to your response. Thank you for your attention to this very serious matter.
