John Grant is expected to be sworn in as Brock Township’s new mayor following a special council meeting Monday (March 15) afternoon.

A bylaw formalizing his appointment to the vacant seat should be passed at the session, which is slated to get underway at 1 p.m.

Though he’s reserving his official comment until after the bylaw passes, Grant has noted that he intends to “help complete this term of council” and does not plan on running for the mayoral seat in the 2022 municipal election.
