Man succumbs to injuries at scene of single-vehicle collision

A 32-year-old man is dead following a single-vehicle collision near Zephyr Friday (March 12) night.

According to the DRPS, officers were called to Regional Road 39, west of Uxbridge Concession Road 3, shortly before 11 p.m.

“The male driver was operating the motor vehicle eastbound on Regional Road 39 when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree,” reads a media release.

“The motor vehicle incurred severe damage, trapping the male driver inside.”

By the time emergency personnel arrived, the driver had already succumbed to his injuries.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed for nearly 12 hours for the police investigation.
