Man succumbs to injuries at scene of single-vehicle collision

Police are investigating a collision near Zephyr that reportedly left one person dead.

Shortly after 11 p.m. Friday (March 12), Durham Regional Police posted on social media about a road closure on Regional Road 39 between Uxbridge Concession Roads 2 and 3.

Approximately an hour later, police noted their Collision Investigation Unit would be investigating the single-vehicle fatality.

Police say one person has died and expect more information to be released in the morning.

At 7:30 a.m. DRPS noted the road had been reopened.
