Landlord-tenant dispute in Lindsay leads to charges under COVID-19 regulations

A landlord-tenant dispute in Lindsay has led to charges under the provincial COVID-19 regulations.

According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, officers were called shortly 1 p.m. Tuesday (March 9).

Following an investigation, two individuals were charged with failing to comply with a continued section 7.0.2 order and one individual was charged with obstructing a peace officer contrary to the Reopening Ontario Act.

They were issued tickets.

“Community safety has been and remains our number one priority throughout this pandemic. The City of Kawartha Lakes Police Services is committed to working with community partners in balancing overall public safety and health,” reads a media release.
