Uxbridge woman wanted on warrant arrested in Lindsay

An Uxbridge woman wanted on a warrant is facing additional charges after being arrested in Lindsay Wednesday (March 3).

According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, officers responded responded to the area of Lindsay Street South for the report of a suspicious vehicle around 8:45 p.m.

“Officers attended the area and spoke with a female walking towards the vehicle. The female identified herself and it was discovered she was wanted on a warrant by Durham Regional Police Service…While in custody the accused was found to be in possession of property that did not belong to her as well as a controlled substance,” reads a media release.

Jennifer Crowley, 41, of Uxbridge was arrested on the warrant and has also been charged with ten counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and possession of a Schedule I substance.

She is scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on May 6.
