Details have been finalized for a drive-by memorial in honour of former Brock Township mayor Debbie Bath-Hadden.
The tribute will be held on Saturday, March 6 at 10:30 a.m. with the procession at S1460 Concession 2 Brock (see directions below) and will feature an honour guard comprised of Brock township firefighters, piper Mike McDonald and a colour party representing all three Legions in Brock Township.
“It’s going to be big,” said Ward 5 Councillor Lynn Campbell, the organizer and a longtime friend of Bath-Hadden.
“A fitting tribute for Debbie, who cared so much about the community. Come on out to show how much the community cared about Debbie.”
Those taking part are being encouraged to decorate their vehicles with flowers and ribbons.
Directions: Turn off Highway 12 east onto Concession 4. Proceed to Sideroad 18, then turn south. Proceed to Concession 2, then turn west to get to S1460. The parade will go past the family farm at S1260 Concession 2, then exit onto Highway 12. The Hadden family will be stationed in the driveways at S1260 as well as a neighbouring farm and in the parking lot of the Wick church.
